# Creating equivalencies on the fly
### Creating New Transfer Equivalencies
* First, browse to 'Main Menu->Settings and Administration->Transfer Rules, Automations, and Assignments->Equivalencies':

* Next, select an existing "Equivalency Partner" or click "Add another school" to add rules to a new school:
* 
* Next, click, "Create New Rule":
* 
* Next, search for the "send" course from the transfer school and click '+ Add To List':
* 
* Click Next and set the minimum grade and search for the granted transfer course(s) and click '+ Add To List':
* 
* Click Next and you'll be prompted with the following options:
* **Turn off auto-approval. Only set to matched and 'PENDING'.**
* This option can be used when there's a special approval required for a transfer credit but you'd like only the matching to be completed automatically.
* **Only accept this if was taken between specific years?.**
* This option will limit the time period that the course was taken at the transfer institution will be granted credit by your institution.

* Lastly, click Next and you'll be prompted with an optional comment box:

* The comments saved here will display automatically on the transfer equivalency found in "Transfers Queue" or "Transfer Leads".
