The following options refer to the required columns in our import file layout (Sample File Layout and Data Dictionary)
Which fields drive the acceptable time period for inbound courses? (“SendEditionX”)
In cases where credits are only granted for courses completed during a certain time period, you can configure which fields will set the time period on the individual equivalencies:
Neither. Accept all regardless of date course taken.
SendEditionLowYear / SendEditionHighYear
ActiveDateBegin / ActiveDateEnd
In cases where there's a default earliest year that you don't accept courses before, you can set that value which will override the individual years set on the equivalency rule level:
Do you have a default earliest time period that we should not accept courses before (overriding all else)?
Leave this value blank if you only want to use the dates stated directly in the rules.
When importing equivalency data, you have the ability to deactivate existing rules. The following option dictates whether or not existing rules should be deactivated:
Which fields drive the duration that a rule is active? (“EffectiveFrom”/”EffectiveTo”)
Neither. Keep all rules active.
ReceiveEditionLowYear / ReceiveEditionHighYear
ActiveDateBegin / ActiveDateEnd
Ignore ReceiveEditionHighYear?
Does ReceiveEditionHighYear turn off a rule? Or, would you still accept a course that was taken in a future year’s catalog?
Enable this option if you'd like to still apply prior years’ rules by default regardless of ReceiveEditionHighYear.
When credits granted come in as a range (e.g., “1-24”), should we use the min value (“1”) or max value (“24”)?
Do not import. Throw error for range.
Min value
Max value
In addition to turning off auto-approval while also matching at the equivalency rule level, this option allows you to turn off auto-approval if a rule has a public comment:
